Seeking Safety from Interpersonal Violence Stream

The Saskatchewan Housing Benefit - Seeking Safety from Interpersonal Violence (Seeking Safety) Stream provides a simple flat-rate monthly benefit to help individuals fleeing interpersonal violence cover their rent and utility costs.

The Saskatchewan Housing Benefit (SHB) is delivered by Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) and co-funded by the Government of Canada and Government of Saskatchewan under the National Housing Strategy.

2. Eligibility

Individuals may be eligible for the SHB Seeking Safety Stream if they are fleeing interpersonal violence and have made arrangements to live independently in the private rental market or a housing co-operative.

The Seeking Safety Stream is available by referral only. Please contact SHC or review the fact sheet under Further Information to find out if you are eligible to be referred for this benefit.
