The Government of Saskatchewan collaborated with the post-secondary education sector on the development of a research framework for institutions in the province as a proactive approach to mitigate risk involved with research and innovation.
Post-secondary institutions have already implemented robust and thorough policies around research, and this framework further supports and enhances those policies. The International Research Partnerships Framework will enable Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions to explore and engage in new research partnerships while ensuring the safety of intellectual property, national security, and the integrity of the province.
This framework aligns with the Government of Canada's National Security Guidelines for Research Partnerships, as well as Saskatchewan's post-secondary institution principles.
