Saskatchewan Highway Patrol CALEA Accreditation Review

The Saskatchewan Highway Patrol (SHP) was in the final stages of a law enforcement accreditation through The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc (CALEA). This accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards in four basic areas:

  • Policy and procedures
  • Administration
  • Operations
  • Support services

Part of the final assessment involved inviting the public to provide comment on SHP's ability to comply with CALEA's standards. There were several ways you could respond:
