Big Game Draw Deadline Extended

Released on May 26, 2021

On the evening of Tuesday, May 25, the Government of Saskatchewan website experienced an unplanned outage that affected some access to the Saskatchewan Big Game Draw and the Canadian Resident White-tail Deer Draw.

To ensure that allocation of Saskatchewan hunting opportunities remains fair and transparent, the Ministry of Environment will reopen the draw at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, until 11:59 p.m., Saskatchewan time on Friday, May 28.

The government apologizes for the untimely outage, and for the frustration experienced by clients.

Hunters who successfully submitted an application outside of the outage period are unaffected.  Previously submitted applications may also be edited during this timeframe.

The ministry is committed to delivering draw results in a timely manner and will provide results as soon as they become available.

Hunters are encouraged to apply early for the draw which allows opportunity to edit your application prior to the draw closing, and to allow for any unforeseen technical difficulties.

For information on your HAL account or assistance with completing an application, please call 1-888-773-8450.  Additional information about the big game draw is available at www.saskatchewan.ca/hunting.
