Tentative Contract For Saskatchewan Cancer Agency

Released on March 22, 2021

Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) employees have a new tentative agreement on a six-year contract with the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO).

The agreement covers approximately 700 SCA employees at two cancer clinics in Regina and Saskatoon and includes radiation therapists, pharmacists and registered nurses.

"I am sincerely pleased that an agreement has been reached, and that it recognizes how highly we value our cancer care professionals," Health Minister Paul Merriman said.  "They provide critical services to Saskatchewan residents, and their work has continued to be exceptional through the challenges of the pandemic."

SCA staff belong to the Saskatchewan Government Employees Union (SGEU).  The tentative agreement will go to a ratification vote, after which further details will be provided.
