The Government of Saskatchewan is engaging the public to help ensure the regulations governing radiation equipment is up to date and provides the highest level of health and safety for clients and those operating the equipment.
From August 3 to September 30, 2021 citizens can provide input on The Radiation Health and Safety Regulations, 2005.
"As technology and practices in radiation protection change, our regulations need to keep pace to ensure safety for everyone," Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan said.
This review focuses on serval key aspects of radiation health and safety such as, dose monitoring, certification of equipment, safety and preventative maintenance inspections and other relevant matters.
