The Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan (HSAS) and the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO Inc.) have successfully ratified a new collective bargaining agreement.
“I want to commend the collaborative and sincere efforts made by both parties to reach an agreement particularly in these challenging times of a pandemic,” Health Minister Jim Reiter said. “This agreement will ensure these valued health professionals are able to continue to provide important health care services to Saskatchewan residents.”
The six-year agreement offers general economic wage increases of 0 per cent, 0 per cent, 1 per cent, 2 per cent, 2 per cent and 2 per cent and is effective until March 31, 2024. Other highlights of the agreement include adjustments that have been made to reflect the nature of working within a new single provincial health authority.
HSAS represents more than 4000 specialized health care professionals in more than 30 professions, province-wide – delivering care in acute care, long-term care, primary health care and emergency medical services.
