Today, Social Services Minister Paul Merriman joined community members, dignitaries and group home residents in Saskatoon to celebrate the grand opening of a new Light of the Prairies group home.
“It is a great privilege for us to support these individuals as they enjoy their new home and community,” Light of the Prairies Executive Director Kevin Martens said. “We look forward to many days filled with new experiences and greater independence.”
This new group home supports the Saskatchewan Disability Strategy by creating residential services for people with disabilities. Saskatchewan residents and communities that have done work that aligns with the Disability Strategy are encouraged to share their accomplishments using the hashtag #SKDisability.
