New Group Home Opens in Regina

Regina-Qu’appelle Valley MLA Laura Ross on behalf of Social Services Minister Donna Harpauer today joined residents, dignitaries and staff at the grand opening ceremony of a new Cheshire Homes of Regina Society group home in Regina.
“Cheshire Homes of Regina Society continues to do remarkable work supporting individuals experiencing physical disabilities in Saskatchewan,” Ross said. “This group home will provide its new residents with the supports and services they need to contribute to their community using their own unique strengths and abilities.”
Cheshire Homes of Regina Society is a non-profit charitable organization that provides accessible homes and services for adults experiencing disability. They currently operate three residential projects, including two group homes and one group living program for two individuals.
“Cheshire Homes is a home of caring and sharing which offers opportunities to persons experiencing disabilities,” Cheshire Homes of Regina Society Executive Director Debbie Yurkoski said. “We would like to thank the Ministry of Social Services for the funding that made this home possible.”
The Government of Saskatchewan is providing more than $380,000 in support for this new group home.
