Young Offender from the North Battleford Youth Centre Escapes While on Escort to Funeral at the Red Pheasant First Nation

UPDATE:  The young offender who was the subject of this notification was captured July 28, 2016 by Battlefords RCMP.  Due to the fact that the young offender no longer poses a public safety risk, the court order that allowed his name and picture to be released publicly is no longer in place.  This news release was edited on July 28, 2016 to reflect that, in accordance with The Youth Criminal Justice Act.

At approximately 12:10pm on July 21, 2016, a young offender escaped from secure custody while on an escorted pass from the North Battleford Youth Centre.

An order was granted by Provincial Court to publish the young offender’s name to assist in his apprehension.

If you have information about the whereabouts of this individual(s), please contact your local police service or the RCMP.  Do not approach this individual on your own.
