A flood recovery centre will open in the Town of Watrous to provide support and advice to residents of the community and the RM of Morris that have been affected by recent severe weather and flooding.
“After consultations with local officials, we will be opening a temporary Provincial Disaster Assistance Program flood recovery centre in the Town of Watrous to offer support to those in the area who may have been affected by recent flooding,” Government Relations Minister Jim Reiter said.
The centre will be staffed with Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) officials who can begin the claims process as well as answer any questions residents may have about the program.
PDAP is designed to help residents, small businesses, agricultural operations, communal organizations, non-profit organizations, parks and communities recover from the effects of natural disasters, including flooding, tornadoes, plow-winds and other severe weather.
