$1.275 Million Investment in Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park

The Government of Saskatchewan is pleased to announce a new $1.275 million agreement for the development of a long-term, full-service, seasonal campground at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park.

“With the increased demand in Saskatchewan provincial parks, this project will benefit seasonal campers at Saskatchewan Landing,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Mark Docherty said.  “Investments like this allow our parks to increase services available to our users.”

Cactus Blume Campground Ltd. will build, manage and operate a maximum 125 site, full-service seasonal campground.  This campground will provide clients with access to a full-service campsite and the ability to remain in the same site, year over year.

This is the second campground of this type to be developed at Saskatchewan Landing.  The previous development opened 80 full-service campsites in 2010 and is fully occupied.

“Together with Saskatchewan provincial parks, we are pleased to be able to expand the campground offerings at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park,” Cactus Blume Campground Ltd. President John Bardahl said.  “This long-term campground will allow people to access the spectacular amenities available at Saskatchewan Landing year after year.”

Construction for this initiative will begin this fall.  This campground is expected to be complete by June of 2016.

The Government of Saskatchewan continues to focus on improving provincial parks.  Private investments such as these help to create high-quality experiences for visitors and will enhance the enjoyment of this park.
