Saskatchewan Honours Those Who Care

Released on November 6, 2015

In order to recognize the valuable contributions of Community Based Organization (CBO) workers across this province, the Government of Saskatchewan proclaimed today as CBO Worker Appreciation Day.

“The people who work at the hundreds of CBOs across our province provide hope, dignity and compassion to our most vulnerable citizens,” Social Services Minister Donna Harpauer said.  “It takes very special people to care so much, and I want to thank them for their selfless dedication to the people of this province.”

The Government of Saskatchewan works in partnership with about 200 CBOs who provide services to some of Saskatchewan’s most vulnerable citizens, such as children, people living with disabilities, the homeless, those struggling with addictions, families in crisis and women experiencing abuse.
