Francophone Advisory Committee's Report Received

The latest Advisory Committee on Francophone Affairs’ report to the Government of Saskatchewan has been received by Francophone Affairs Legislative Secretary Wayne Elhard.

“I appreciate the efforts of the committee and thank them for their hard work,” Elhard said.

The recommendations in the latest report include translating more material for immigrants and interprovincial migrants, along with evaluating what existing online services could also be offered in French.

The report follows meetings by the Francophone Affairs Advisory Committee with officials from various ministries, Crown corporations and agencies.

The role of the Advisory Committee on Francophone Affairs is to advise the Francophone Affairs Legislative Secretary, whose duties include French-language services, on the implementation of the provincial government’s French-language services policy.
