The Government of Saskatchewan continues to support a Swift Current program that assists victims of interpersonal violence and abuse.“I’m deeply thankful for the support Southwest Crisis Services provides to the people in this corner of the province,” Justice Minister and Attorney General Gordon Wyant said. “This organization and all others like it make a profound contribution to the province’s well-being. I’m glad we can once again help them provide that service.”
In 2015-16, Southwest Crisis Services Inc. will receive more than $528,000 from the Ministry of Justice.
“Southwest Crisis Services is pleased to stand with our leaders in government to declare our commitment to the fight against interpersonal violence and abuse,” Southwest Crisis Services Executive Director Heather Lennox said. “This funding through the Ministry of Justice will help us continue to build healthier families and communities together.”
Province-wide, the Ministry of Justice's Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Program is providing more than $11 million toward interpersonal violence programming this fiscal year.
