Province Supports Interpersonal Violence Programming in Lloydminster

Released on April 8, 2015

The Government of Saskatchewan continues to support Lloydminster programs that assist victims of interpersonal violence and abuse.  Two programs will receive more than $284,000.

“These programs offer a range of much needed support for victims of interpersonal violence and abuse,” Lloydminster MLA Colleen Young said on behalf of Justice Minister and Attorney General Gordon Wyant.  “I’m pleased to see we are able to continue funding these vital services that help Saskatchewan residents in their time of crisis.”

In 2015-16, more than $284,000 will be divided among the Lloydminster Interval Home Society and the Lloydminster Sexual Assault and Information Centre.

“The Lloydminster Interval Home Society is thankful and appreciative for the continued support from the Ministry of Justice,” Lloydminster Interval Home Society Executive Director Angela Rooks-Trotzuk said.  “We see success and growth in the women and children we work to support every day, moving from crisis to stability, and the Government of Saskatchewan is a partner in these successes.”

Province-wide, the Ministry of Justice's Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Program is providing more than $11 million toward interpersonal violence programming this fiscal year.
