The Government of Saskatchewan continues to support Hudson Bay Family and Support Centre Inc., which assists victims of interpersonal violence and abuse.“This government is committed to responding to interpersonal violence and abuse,” Carrot River Valley MLA Fred Bradshaw said on behalf of Justice Minister and Attorney General Gordon Wyant. “I’d like to thank the workers at this fine organization for the support they provide the people of this community when they need it the most.”
In 2015-16, Hudson Bay Family and Support Centre Inc. will receive more than $70,000.
“Being able to offer more support to victims impacted by violence is crucial, especially in remote locations,” Hudson Bay Family and Support Centre Executive Director Sandy Bashnick said. “We are thankful this government sees this initiative as a need for Saskatchewan."
Province-wide, the Ministry of Justice's Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Program is providing more than $11 million toward interpersonal violence programming this fiscal year.
