Weekly Construction Update
Highway construction season has kicked into another gear as eight new projects get underway in the province this week. The new work brings the total number of large projects underway to 29.
“Crews are hard at work paving roads, building bridges and replacing culverts across the province,” Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said. “Always slow to 60 km/hr when you enter a work zone, and set aside some extra time if you know major work is on your travel route. Maintaining and upgrading Saskatchewan’s transportation infrastructure is crucial, but nothing is more important than safety.”
New projects underway in the province this week include work on the Wakaw Lake Access Road, paving on Highway 15 east of Kenaston, construction of a new bridge on Highway 18 near the Manitoba border, and a culvert replacement on Highway 302 west of Prince Albert.
The weekly construction update provides Saskatchewan residents with the latest details on projects underway to help plan safe and efficient travel throughout the summer and fall.
