A numbered company, 101123639 Saskatchewan Ltd., operating as Cravings All Day Grill has been found guilty of two charges under Saskatchewan’s Labour Standards Act and was fined $760 in Regina Provincial Court on January 16, 2014.
The charges were laid after the company failed to pay wages and annual holiday pay within 14 days of termination of employment. One other charge was stayed.
In relation to the same incident, six charges against Jason Richard Weinkauf, director and Metaxia Panagiota Weinkauf, employer of Cravings All Day Grill were stayed.
The Labour Standards Division of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety supports fair and equitable workplace practices through public awareness and enforcement of The Labour Standards Act and regulations as well as other labour legislation. Whenever necessary, violators will be prosecuted.
