Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter reminds drivers watch for ongoing construction taking place on Saskatchewan's highways and bridges.
"It's not difficult to spot construction activity on our transportation system," Reiter said. "So, as always, slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, and remember that base fines start at $140 for speeding through an Orange Zone."
Work that has recently started includes construction on Highway 3 near Tisdale, Highway 21 south of Maple Creek and Highway 80 near Esterhazy. More details about this work and a list of other ongoing projects throughout the province are available in the attached backgrounder.
Construction work is subject to weather conditions and contractor progress. Motorists can get other important travel information on the Summer Road Conditions and Road Conditions Map sections of the Highway Hotline online at www.highways.gov.sk.ca/road-conditions/.
