NEW JUDGE FOR NORTH BATTLEFORD

Daniel Joseph O'Hanlon has been appointed a judge of the Provincial Court for North Battleford.
"Judge O'Hanlon's extensive knowledge of public prosecutions, criminal law, family law and young offender law will serve him well in his new role as a Provincial Court judge," Justice Minister Frank Quennell said.
Judge O'Hanlon was called to the bar in 1990 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1989. He was born and raised in North Battleford and has also spent his legal career there, in private practice from 1989 to 1992, as a staff lawyer with the Saskatchewan Legal Aid Commission from 1992 to 1995, and as a Crown Prosecutor with the Saskatchewan Department of Justice from 1995 to the present. Judge O'Hanlon also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Diploma in Criminal Justice from Mount Royal College in Calgary.
Since 1990, Judge O'Hanlon has been a member of the Board of Directors of Battlefords Residential Services Ltd., a non-profit corporation that provides residential services and support services to adults and children with mental and/or physical disabilities.
