SASKENERGY OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW OFFICE

Released on June 23, 1999

Today marked the official opening of the new SaskEnergy location in

Yorkton with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.



Built by Logan Stevens Construction Ltd., a local company, the

facility will be the new work home of 24 employees and will serve more

than 24,500 Yorkton and area customers.



Education Minister Clay Serby, on behalf of Deputy Premier and Crown

Investments Corporation Minister Dwain Lingenfelter, participated in

the ribbon cutting ceremony and congratulated Ed Lang, General

Manager, Yorkton and Weyburn Area, for his commitment to customer

service.



"This official opening of the SaskEnergy facility in Yorkton

represents a renewed commitment to quality customer service to the

people living in the Yorkton area. I know I echo the anticipation of

employees and customers alike in wishing all the best in your new

facility," Serby said.



"We're proud to offer a new facility to our customers and employees,"

Lang said. "The opportunity to relocate the Yorkton office

illustrates SaskEnergy's desire to continue providing positive

customer care in the area."



The new facility will be central to all customer inquiries and

services including line locates, pilot relights, odour checks,

payments, disconnections, and all other area maintenance

requirements.
