CUSTOM COMBINE OPERATORS AVAILABLE THROUGH LISTING SERVICE

Released on September 20, 1996

Agriculture and Food Minister Eric Upshall today reminded producers
that the department's Feed Grain and Forage Listing Service also
contains listings of custom combine operators.

Upshall also urged anyone who has completed harvest operations and
would be interested in doing some custom combining to list with the
Feed Grain and Forage Listing Service.

"Due to the lateness of the harvest and the recent weather delays,
producers may need help in harvesting," Upshall said. "The listing
service contains the names of several custom combine operators who are
available to help."

The listing service can be contacted Monday to Friday by phoning 1-800-
667-7564, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The information on available supplies
is also compiled monthly and published, with copies sent to rural
municipal offices and Rural Service Centres.

The Feed Grain and Forage Listing Service provides a central location
for producers to list their feed, forage and custom services and for
obtaining information on available supplies.
