Municipal Government Self-Assessment Tool
The Municipal Government Self-Assessment (MGSA) Tool is an easy-to-use, interactive Excel workbook that can help your municipality evaluate the current state of key aspects of your operations. Answer a few questions related to key areas like administration, governance, infrastructure and service delivery, and the tool will provide your municipality with a score related to each core service area.
By examining the self-assessment scores, your municipality will be able to determine which management areas are going well and where there are opportunities for improvement. Refer to the fact sheets below to locate online resources that could help you to improve in a particular area.
If you have other questions about the Municipal Government Self-Assessment Tool, please e-mail muninfo@gov.sk.ca or contact Advisory Services and Municipal Relations Branch at 306-787-2680.
