Premier’s Service Club Award

Established in 2013 the Premier's Service Club Award recognizes the commitment and activities of service clubs and fraternal organizations. Up to four awards will be given annually. They come in the form of a framed certificate, which is signed by the Premier.

1. Eligible Organizations

Voluntary, non-profit service clubs or fraternal organizations where members meet regularly to perform charitable work either by hands-on effort or by raising money for other organizations with a mandate to better the lives of individuals/communities are eligible.

  • Cosmopolitan Clubs 
  • Elks/Royal Purple 
  • The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks 
  • Fraternal Order of the Eagles

Individuals are not eligible for this award.

Self-nominations from organizations will not be accepted. The Saskatchewan Honours Advisory Council will recommend to the Premier each year's recipient(s) based entirely on the information submitted with the nomination.

2. Nomination Process

Completing the Nomination Form

Only one nomination form is required per service club or fraternal organization.

Please Include:

  • Complete mailing address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number, as well as those of the service club

In the summary statement on the form, briefly explain the reason(s) you are nominating this organization. You may use additional pages if required.

Support letters

Please provide up to three letters from others supporting the nomination and explaining why your nominated organization is worthy of this award. Do not exceed three letters.

Additional Information

You may provide material in support of your nomination, including an expanded statement of your reason(s) for the nomination, a mission statement or biographical information about the organization and/or a list of the nominated organization's achievements. Please ensure that this material is succinct and directly relevant to the nomination.

Acceptable Deliverables

  • All support materials must be on 8½ x 11" paper
  • Typed, reproduced or clearly hand-written in dark ink.

Submitting a Nomination

The deadline for receipt of nominations is April 15. Nominations received after this date will be held for consideration the following year. The person submitting the nomination must sign nomination forms.

All information provided to us is confidential and exclusively for the use of the selection committee. We ask that you do not inform the organization of the nomination.
