Accurate and timely labour market information is essential for supporting a well-functioning labour market and, more generally, a strong Saskatchewan economy.

Provincial Labour Demand Outlook Reports

The five-year outlook provides forecasted job openings for common occupations and major industries in Saskatchewan. The outlook is revised every year with the most up-to-date information available.

The outlook reports can be used to support policy and program decisions, workforce development and planning strategies, and career development and planning decisions by key partners, including employers, industry/employer associations, education and training providers, education councils, employment/career practitioners and current/prospective students.

    Provides labour market information for 413 occupations, including forecasted job openings for five years (2024 to 2028), job outlooks, estimated employment and wages, and the top three major industries in which workers are employed.
  • 2024 Saskatchewan Industry Labour Demand Outlook
    Provides forecasted job openings and employment growth for 19 major industries in Saskatchewan for five years (2024 to 2028) and the top five occupations with the most job openings in each industry.
