The Exploratory Licence Guidelines outlines the regulations governing exploration licences, answers frequently asked questions and provides an example of how to calculate area factors for lease selection purposes. This guideline will assist industry in becoming familiar with their rights and responsibilities once they have acquired an exploration licence for oil and gas exploration from the Government of Saskatchewan.
This guideline does not replace The Crown Minerals Act or The Oil and Gas Tenure Registry Regulations; it is intended as a general reference to be used in conjunction with the existing legislation.
