As of December 31, 2024, the Saskatchewan Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) will be permanently decommissioned. The EFP portal will be shut down and all information will be archived by program administrators.

Producers with completed EFPs are encouraged to log into their accounts and download a copy of their EFP and all associated documentation prior to December 31, 2024, for their own records.

Completed EFPs will be archived as of December 31, 2024. Archived EFPs can be requested after December 31, 2024, by calling the Agriculture Knowledge Centre toll free at 1-866-457-2377 or by email at ag.info@gov.sk.ca.

If you have questions about this change or require further assistance, please contact the Agriculture Knowledge Centre for more information toll free at 1-866-457-2377 or by email at ag.info@gov.sk.ca.

To ensure Saskatchewan producers continue to have access to information and resources regarding agri-environmental risks and best practices on-farm, producers are encouraged to review the Agri-Environmental Risk Assessment (AERA) for further resources.

Environmental Farm Plan

The Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) is a free, online self-assessment tool designed to help producers identify environmental risks on their farm and create action plans to address those risks.

During the process producers:

  • Highlight their farm's environmental strengths;
  • Identify areas of environmental concern; and
  • Make realistic action plans to address identified environmental concerns.

Eligibility

Any producer can complete an Environmental Farm Plan.

Once a producer has completed an EFP, it will be submitted to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre, where a specialist will review it and be available for assistance if required.
