Condition Reports

Crop and drought conditions reports are provided weekly and monthly throughout the growing season.

Stream Flow and Lake Levels – The stream flow and water levels monitor the current water resource condition in Saskatchewan.

Precipitation Level – Precipitation is assessed to determine the severity of meteorological dryness and is an indirect measure of agriculture dryness. The Water Security Agency provides a Provincial Forecast with details about the water supply conditions and outlook report and 10-day forecasts for the Saskatchewan River system. A forecast of streamflow and reservoir levels as well as the water supply conditions and outlook in the province can also be found with the Provincial Forecast.

Crop Report – The crop report provides information on progress of seeding and crop establishment, crop development, and any pest activity including weeds, insects and disease, harvest progress, crop yields and grades, and status of summer/fall crop seeding. It also provides progress reports on hay and estimated yields, as well as pasture conditions. Additionally, the crop report contains maps showing the regional representation of the topsoil moisture conditions, rainfall and temperatures. This data is updated weekly during the growing season, and historical data can also be accessed.
