As an agri-environmental specialist, Hillary works with farmers and ranchers to implement environmental best management practices on their operations, such as converting marginal land to perennial forage and cross-fencing to better manage native prairie. Her experience includes grazing management, watershed management and conservation, marketing and sales. Hillary has a bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan with a focus on environmental science and rangeland resources.


Ashley Kaminski, PAg, CCA, Crops Extension Specialist

Ashley Kaminski
Ashley is passionate about grain production in Saskatchewan and enjoys discussions with producers about current challenges they face in the industry. As a crops extension specialist, Ashley provides information to producers on integrated pest management, soil fertility and crop management. Ashley has experience in grain production, including working in the retail sector and farming with her family since 2015. She received her bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in agronomy.


Rikki Wilson, BSA, Dip (Agbus), A.Ag, Livestock and Feed Extension Specialist

Rikki is passionate about helping the Saskatchewan livestock sector continue to grow and progress into the future. As the livestock and feed extension specialist, Rikki is able to provide livestock producers with solutions and services which are both profitable and realistic for their operation, while still focusing on animal welfare including water and feed analysis, ration formulation and other livestock nutrition or production inquiries. Rikki has 10 years of experience within the livestock industry as a cattle rancher and has a bachelor of science in agriculture, majoring in animal science, as well as a diploma in agribusiness, each from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dean Cortus, PAg, Range Management Extension Specialist

Dean enjoys working with livestock producers to develop sustainable strategies for their tame forage and pasture operations. As a range management extension specialist, Dean assists producers in forage production and pasture management. Dean has over 20 years of experience in the public sector working in Crown land management and holds a bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dawn Berger, Executive Coordinator

Dawn Berger
Dawn enjoys assisting agricultural producers and ensuring they find what they need in an efficient and effective manner. As executive coordinator, Dawn provides administrative support to the executive director and assists the management team through established processes and procedures. Prior to working with the ministry, Dawn worked for the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Social Services.

Tamara Grant, Regional Services Representative

Tamara provides customer service and administrative support to the Humboldt office. As the first point of contact, Tamara assesses internal and external client needs to make sure that they find what they need in an efficient and effective manner. Tamara is always willing to step in and help wherever she is needed. Prior to joining the Ministry of Agriculture, Tamara provided administrative support for her family’s business and worked for the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans as an administrative assistant.

Terry Bauer, Administrative Assistant

Terry enjoys being part of a team environment and is eager to learn more about the ministry and its mandate to their clients. Terry has spent 30+ years working in a supervisory administrative role in Public Health. Prior to that, she held administrative roles in various government organizations providing excellent customer service to external and administrative support to her colleagues. Terry provides administrative support to the Regional Services Branch in Humboldt.
