The provincial government will be conducting a consultation survey on cannabis from Friday, September 8 to Friday, October 6."The legalization of cannabis represents a big change," Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said. "We want to take the time to listen to and consult with the people of this province to ensure we implement the parts of this legislation that are under our control in a way that works for Saskatchewan.”
If you are 18 years of age or older and a resident of Saskatchewan, we invite you to complete the anonymous survey at www.saskatchewan.ca/cannabis.
Topics in the survey include parts of the federal legislation that have been left up to the provinces, such as:
- age limits on cannabis sales;
- public consumption;
- taxation on cannabis sales;
- distribution and wholesaling;
- potential retails models, locations and rules;
- regulatory compliance; and
- the enforcement of the modified impaired driving laws.
