Investor Alert: Group Targeting Investors of York Rio Resources Inc.

The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) has recently been made aware of Global Settlements Group, an entity that appears to be contacting Saskatchewan investors in York Rio Resources Inc. Global Settlements Group is claiming to hold funds in a “Settlement Fund Account” and investors are being invited to provide information so that they may receive their share of this money.

However, the Ontario Securities Commission has confirmed that it is not associated with Global Settlements Group and has not made any settlement arrangements with them.

On March 31, 2014, the Ontario Securities concluded its proceedings against York Rio Resources Inc. for selling securities without being properly registered to do so.  York Rio Resources Inc. sold securities in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and in other Canadian provinces.  For details on this matter, please visit www.osc.gov.on.ca.
