Raising Homeowner Awareness during Real Estate and Renovation Season

Released on May 20, 2014

Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) wants to make sure people know what to look for and expect from home renovation contractors, mortgage brokers and real estate professionals.

“Asking the right questions can save you time and money,” FCAA Chair and CEO Dave Wild said.  “We want to make sure home buyers know what to expect from realtors and mortgage brokers.  Knowing how to find a reputable contractor is a key skill for homeowners during the summer renovation season.”

During the week of May 20, FCAA will share important information consumers need to know via the Government of Saskatchewan’s Twitter and Facebook profiles.

Saskatchewan residents are encouraged to learn more about this and other financial topics on www.fcaa.gov.sk.ca/finlit.
